總統還指出，台韓是緊密的貿易跟投資夥伴，應持續推動經貿相關協定的進展，總統說：『(原音)尤其是我們非常重要的避免雙重課稅協定，這個在下個月會在台北舉行第10次的會議，我們樂見這個互惠互利的協定能夠盡早完成。』

蔡英文總統22日在接見南韓新任駐台代表楊昌洙時致詞表示，為了亞太地區的繁榮與和平，台、韓之間有更深入合作的必要性，雙方有相似的民主化歷史與經濟發展軌跡，也同樣在亞太區域安全的議題上扮演重要角色，我方期待建立更完整、更全方位的對話機制，包括政府之間的往來及智庫所舉行的各種區域安全會議，都願意跟韓國一起努力。
